Thanks to having family members contribute every holiday and birthday gift as cash into 529s, and of course the market performance, we've now got a very first world problem that I'd welcome your advice on.
We've got $1.1mm in 529s for kids currently in 8th and 10th grade. Assuming they will need $300k each, on average, for 4 years of college, the account is currently over funded by approximately $600k. I don't expect either to go to graduate school.
We've put $250k each in appropriate target enrollment date funds, which after growth, should cover the $300k they will each need for college, but unsure what to do with the remainder. Should I let it ride in VOO/VXUS?
