I am 36 years old and I have so many questions about my retirement accounts.
I’ve been trying to invest in my future so with my last job I have a 401k retirement account with vanguard, currently managed by vanguard. Also, I have a Roth IRA with a little bit of money and I’m going to continue adding money to it but now it will have to be through a back door IRA (also, I’m looking for info about this).
I recently changed jobs and they offer 403b and 457b plans but they don’t match. Still I opened both accounts, the company they use is Corebridge but I’m not sure how to feel about them because I see the returns are bad (I have better returns in my ROTH account).
I’ve been thinking about self managing my 401k with vanguard but I don’t know how to do it or if it is a good idea. And also, what would be the best strategy for this.
Has anyone done it before and how do you guys organize your regiment accounts? PLEASE HELP!
