I'm new to investing in general.
I want to find undervalued stocks but don't know where to start. So I looked broadly to narrow down to a sector later on.
So I put my ML skills to some use and built a macroeconomic researcher that looks at ONLY macro outlooks from investment firms.
I get memos telling me things like,
\- "JP Morgan assigns a 35% probability to a US/global recession in 2026"
\- "JP Morgan forecasts Silver rising to $58/oz by Q4 2026"
\- "RBA is Suspected to pause inflation until Q4 2026 - MorningStar"
\- "State Street forecasts $3,700-4,100/oz base case for gold"
and much more.
I suspect I can narrow down stocks/ETFs/commodities that postitivly fit with these memos.
Are macro outlooks the best way to do my macro research? any other trustable sources you recommend?
Is macro research even needed for value investing? Do you do enough macro research yourself?
Can I do something different to find my general ballpark sectors?
