Summary

Keyvan Salehi, President & CEO of STLLR Gold, argues the gold bull market is still in its early innings and expects gold to hit $5,000 by the end of 2026. He sees a decade-long bear market ending, with gold miners undervalued and a broader-market correction, potentially triggered by an AI bubble burst, as the catalyst for a rotation into gold and mining stocks. He also outlines STLLR Gold's development projects and catalysts in Ontario and the Northwest Territories.

  • Guest expects gold to reach $5,000 before the end of 2026.
  • Drivers cited include debt levels, fiat-currency debasement, geopolitics, inflation, central-bank demand, and constrained mine supply.
  • Gold miners and gold equities are described as undervalued, underowned, and still early in a new bull cycle.
  • The S&P 500 and NASDAQ are viewed as near a top, with a prolonged correction expected.
  • The AI hype bubble is seen as a likely trigger for a broader-market correction and rotation into gold/mining assets.
  • STLLR Gold is pitched as undervalued relative to its 17 million ounces in the ground and Canadian development projects.
  • Near-term STLLR catalysts include permitting work, PFS progress in 12-24 months, and drilling at Tower Gold starting in January.

Broader market top, correction ahead
The broader US equity market, especially NASDAQ and the S&P 500, is near a top and cannot continue its long V-shaped recovery cycle. He expects a prolonged, sustained correction rather than another quick dip-buying recovery, with the AI hype bubble bursting as the major catalyst. He would rather bet on gold and gold equities going higher while the broader market corrects.

Gold to $5,000 by end-2026
Gold should reach $5,000 before the end of 2026. At $4,200, it is only about 20-25% away, and the reasons for the call remain intact: geopolitical risk, inflation, rising US and global debt, fiat-currency debasement, central-bank demand, and constrained mine supply. He sees gold as the best hedge and expects a broader-market correction to be the major catalyst for the next breakout.

Gold miners undervalued, rotation just beginning
Gold mining stocks remain in the early innings after a decade-long bear market and are grossly undervalued relative to gold's move. General investors and younger investors have only started rotating into gold and gold equities, and the real rotation into mining stocks has not happened yet. He expects a broader-market correction, including an AI bubble burst, to be the catalyst that drives gold securities and mining stocks higher.

AI bubble will burst, market catalyst
The latest leg of the broader market rally is driven by AI hype, and he believes that AI bubble will eventually burst. When it does, it should be the major catalyst for a broader-market correction and, in turn, a bigger gold breakout because capital will rotate out of AI and into gold/mining assets. He does not see another theme beyond AI that can keep markets going higher.

STLLR Gold undervalued versus gold ounces
STLLR Gold trades at about C$220 million market cap while holding roughly 17 million ounces in the ground, an asset base he says would cost over C$2 billion and 10 years to assemble today. It has two multi-million-ounce Canadian development projects, one in the Northwest Territories and one in the Timmins, Ontario camp, and the Hollinger tailings project contains about 0.5 million ounces, mostly indicated, with potential for over C$1 billion of free cash at current gold prices because of excess local mill capacity. The company is advancing Timmins projects toward permits and FID, expects PFS in 12-24 months, and plans to start drilling Tower Gold in January.
