Yields rise on deficits, AI issuance, growth.
Rising US and global yields are driven by debt and deficits, an explosion in AI-related issuance, and a US economy that is doing pretty well, with perhaps a third or more of the move based on growth. That argues for staying short Treasuries or positioned for higher yields.

Middle East route risk supports crude.
The Bab-el-Mandeb is an increasing problem because of Iran-backed proxy attacks, and most energy cargoes are being rerouted through the Suez Canal and the pipeline through Egypt. The longer route is not ideal and keeps crude supply risk elevated.
