Summary

The panel discusses the Anthropic and SpaceX IPOs at extreme valuations, arguing they are overpriced and offering poor entry points. They also analyze MicroStrategy's capital structure problems, calling the business model unsustainable without Bitcoin's continued rapid growth. Hyperliquid's rise and regulatory challenges, as well as the stablecoin debate between Jamie Dimon and Brian Armstrong, are covered. Finally, DTCC's decision to tokenize equities on Stellar is seen as a milestone for real-world asset tokenization.

  • Anthropic's IPO valuation is seen as too high with little upside for public investors.
  • SpaceX's $2 trillion IPO valuation makes a 10-bagger nearly impossible.
  • MicroStrategy's three-body problem: equity, Bitcoin, and preferred debt create unsustainable dynamics unless Bitcoin rises >11.5% annually.
  • Hyperliquid is gaining attention for 24/7 perpetual markets and price discovery but faces institutional access and risk management hurdles.
  • Jamie Dimon and Brian Armstrong clash over stablecoin yield, with the banking lobby fighting the Clarity Act.
  • DTCC selects Stellar to tokenize US equities and treasuries, signaling a shift toward on-chain finance.
  • The panel warns that large IPOs at late stages may disappoint retail investors and damage capital market confidence.

Anthropic IPO valuations are way too high
Anthropic's IPO valuation at nearly $1 trillion and growing is far too high. Private exchange trades already at $1.3-1.8 trillion are a bad idea. Entry valuations are way too high, making it nearly impossible for public investors to achieve significant returns. The IPO is priced for perfection and leaves no room for upside.

SpaceX IPO valuation is too high
SpaceX is targeting a $2 trillion valuation with a 90x price-to-sales ratio. It is impossible to get a 10-bagger at such a high entry point. Like other mega IPOs, the valuation leaves little room for public market gains and likely leads to poor post-IPO performance.

MicroStrategy capital stack is unsustainable
MicroStrategy faces a three-body problem: its capital stack (equity, Bitcoin, preferred debt) is unsustainable unless Bitcoin rises >11.5% annually. Bitcoin's growth is slowing due to size, and the sale of even a tiny amount of BTC signals weakness. Both MSTR and STRC are selling below par, indicating higher financing costs. The model is pro-cyclical and dangerous.
