Alex Hormozi joins for a long interview on content, entrepreneurship and media strategy. Later guests discuss the strategic importance of US data center supply chains, Gulf AI investing, and private company updates from super.com and Norm AI.

  • China is reportedly discussing AI model export restrictions, with unclear market implications.
  • SK Hynix plans a ~$28B Nasdaq listing and is framed as a cheap pure AI infrastructure play.
  • Meta launched Muse image generation, seen as a way to drive creator engagement.
  • Big banks are exploring acquiring Fiserv's debit network, a threat to Visa and Mastercard.
  • Josh Zoffer argues US data center construction is a strategic industrial supply-chain test.
  • Dena Shakir sees the GCC as a fast-scaling applied AI hub.
  • Private updates include super.com's $65M Series D and Norm AI's $120M Series C.

SK Hynix is cheap AI infrastructure play
SK Hynix is a pure AI infrastructure play because it leads in HBM and is a key Nvidia partner; 2025 revenue grew 47% to $63B, profit more than doubled to $28B, and Q1 revenue tripled year-over-year, yet the stock trades around 7x forward earnings because investors are pattern-matching to prior memory cycles instead of treating this as a different technology cycle. The pending ~$28B Nasdaq listing should still be a blockbuster.

Meta image model drives creator engagement
Meta's Muse image model is a strong launch because Meta can train on Instagram and Facebook data, use multi-reference composition and self-refinement to generate high-fidelity images, and push it to Instagram creators where the existing algorithm filters slop; this should drive engagement and make productive use of Meta's GPU/TPU capacity.

Banks rebundle debit rails, hitting Visa
JPMorgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and PNC are exploring buying Fiserv's Star/Excel debit networks so they can vertically rebundle payments and capture more account, card, network, wallet and fraud-layer economics; if successful, this reduces Visa and Mastercard's leverage over US debit and raises merchant costs, part of a larger East Coast big bank comeback.

Data center supply chains are strategic
The US must not slow data-center construction because data centers are not just chips but a deep industrial supply chain including power electronics, transformers, switchgear, and steel; current hyperscaler demand creates a window to build next-generation US industrial capacity. If the US hinders construction, it risks repeating the rare-earth offshoring mistake and losing critical supply chains to China, which is reportedly planning a $295B data-center fund.

Gulf is scaling AI deployments fast
The Gulf Cooperation Council is becoming a true global hub for applied AI, not just sovereign capital; it offers unusually fast, massive multi-hundred-billion-dollar deployment opportunities at scale that are rare elsewhere, and global top-tier talent pricing is consistent with Silicon Valley.
