No sell signal; memory leader to hold.
Samsung Electronics has not given a sell signal. It is holding above its 11-day and 21-day moving averages, recent pullbacks have come on light volume, and foreigners have turned buyers for three sessions. It remains a core memory semiconductor leader with expectations for earnings growth and upward target revisions, and he would still want to buy it if looking at it fresh.
Higher growth, cheaper than Samsung.
SK hynix is unusual because its chart resembles Samsung Electronics but its supply-demand and relative valuation differ. Foreigners have been selling while domestic institutions and retail investors buy, and the stock has stronger earnings growth and is more undervalued than Samsung. The HBM4 narrative adds another catalyst, although foreign selling is a risk.
Keep core memory semiconductor exposure.
The AI and memory semiconductor supercycle remains intact. The memory market is projected to roughly double to $550 billion in 2025, Korean makers hold about 60% share, semiconductor exports are surging, and Samsung/SK hynix still look undervalued on earnings. He would keep a core memory semiconductor allocation and expects a Korean semiconductor ETF to outperform the broad index.
Valuation gap closed; index less attractive.
KOSPI is less attractive after its rally. His 2025 EPS estimate of 400-450 implies fair value around 5,280 at about 12x, and Asia already averages 12-13x, so the Korean market no longer trades at a clear discount. Upside to 6,000 is only roughly 12%, so he prefers semiconductor/sector exposure over the index, though he does not expect a collapse this year.
Limited upside; prefer sector plays.
S&P 500 upside is limited: Wall Street IB targets are mostly 7,600-7,800, only about 10% above current levels. He prefers higher-upside momentum areas, such as Korean power equipment ETFs and Korean sector plays, because the U.S. market has shifted from index-level investing to stock and sector selection.

Dividend momentum in banks and financials.
Korean financial holding companies, banks, and high-dividend ETFs have March-April dividend momentum. New rules requiring clearer dividend disclosure and the third commercial-law revision on treasury shares support them, and they held up well while semiconductors paused. KB Financial is a standout component with strong all-time-high momentum.
Reform catalyst, high-volatility watch.
KOSDAQ needs structural reform and is harder to lift than KOSPI, but pending delisting-criteria and policy announcements could improve the system. Buying the KOSDAQ 150 index to seek upside is worth considering if investors can tolerate high volatility.
Watch nuclear ETF flows.
ETF flows are now a dominant market driver, and nuclear power was the top-ranked ETF on the day. Investors should monitor the Korean nuclear power ETF and its components, such as Hyundai E&C, Doosan Enerbility, and Hanjeon Industrial, as a sign of where ETF money is moving.
AI upside shifts to B2C apps.
AI infrastructure is largely reflected in prices, but the application and utilization stage is just beginning. The next upside should come from companies that can monetize AI into B2C products and services, such as Alphabet, Apple, and Amazon. Recent AI-related software selloffs are noise in an ongoing growth process, not evidence of an AI peak.
