Bitcoin bottomed; institutions provide support.
Ran argues Bitcoin's 21% correction from its October 7 high is a normal cycle correction rather than proof of a bear market. He cites extreme fear, chart structure, RSI/Bollinger Band signals, positive liquidity, and an institutional/ETF bid near $100,000 as evidence Bitcoin has bottomed or is very near a bottom. He sees possible $130,000-$140,000 by year-end and expects Bitcoin to aggressively outperform Nasdaq if the four-year cycle no longer applies and no bear market occurs.
S&P correction would drag Bitcoin down.
Ran says the S&P 500 is at the top of a multi-year channel and doubts it breaks on the first attempt, expecting a roughly 20% correction. He warns that if the stock market enters risk-off and corrects, Bitcoin will also correct and that would be painful, even though Bitcoin has lagged the stock market's upside.
Regulatory clarity is bullish for crypto.
Ran views the SEC's proposed token taxonomy and the Clarity Act as positive because they would provide regulatory clarity and classify most crypto assets as commodities under the CFTC. He sees the Trump administration as pro-crypto and pro-privacy and calls it the best-case scenario for crypto.
Zcash is undervalued private Bitcoin.
Ran describes Zcash as Bitcoin-like proof-of-work money with a 21 million cap but with compliant privacy. He argues it should be worth 5-10% of Bitcoin; at 10% of Bitcoin, Zcash would be around $10,000 versus about $600 now. He also cites a NASDAQ-listed digital asset treasury company buying Zcash and a pro-privacy administration as support.
Hold Bitcoin, ETH, Solana as core.
Ran says every crypto portfolio should include Bitcoin, ETH, and Solana as core holdings.
Privacy is a top crypto narrative.
Ran is very bullish on privacy as a crypto narrative because the new administration acknowledges privacy rights and wants compliant privacy. He sees two important use cases: private money and private smart-contract/real-world-asset transactions, and expects privacy coins to do well even without a broad altcoin season.
AI agents need crypto payment rails.
Ran is super bullish on AI agents because Coinbase's x402 open standard lets machines or AI transact and make microtransactions using crypto without human middlemen. He thinks adoption by Coinbase, Cloudflare, and Google can create a parallel digital economy, benefiting AI infrastructure crypto projects.
DATs trade below net asset value.
Ran is extremely bullish on digital asset treasury companies because the market is bearish on them and many trade below net asset value, with some at 50% discounts. Since their objective is to buy and stake tokens, he expects the discount to close through takeovers, liquidations, or the market realizing the value of the assets, as arbitrage should not persist.
Prediction market crypto tokens should rise.
Ran is very excited about prediction markets, saying they let users bet on anything, have become a source of truth, and are accurate over 96% of the time. He expects prediction market coins to do well as platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi gain mainstream integration, though he notes the theme is hard to invest in.
No broad altcoin season coming.
Ran does not expect a broad altcoin season where every altcoin runs. He expects only specific narratives—privacy coins, prediction market coins, AI infrastructure projects, and discounted digital asset treasury companies—to perform.
