Private credit offers income and growth
Private credit is the area that warrants a second look and is the one place she would pay attention to. It is as large as or larger than public credit, plays a substantial role in capital markets and corporate finance, and has become critical for smaller and non-traditional businesses and companies staying private longer. Banks have not been lending as much, and private credit has done well, with strong returns in middle-market direct lending and private real estate debt. It also serves as a yield and income alternative when traditional fixed income is less attractive.
