SpaceX stock rebound is lifting South Korean space-related suppliers such as Spear, HVM, and SeAH Besteel, creating a short-term trading opportunity.

Elon Musk's announcement of a space data center next year is boosting Korean companies in SpaceX's value chain, such as Spear and HVM, which have seen double-digit gains.

SpaceX rallied strongly after its 900 million share lockup expiry, suggesting employee holders are not selling and the market sees value. The stock has corrected over 45% from highs and now shows signs of a double bottom. Korean SpaceX supply chain stocks could follow with a rebound.

HVM and Spear are two rare direct suppliers to SpaceX. As SpaceX increases its launch cadence, their order volumes will rise. HVM near 50,000 won is an attractive level to consider buying. The space theme benefits directly from US space momentum and these stocks offer a pure-play exposure.

HVM supplies materials for space launches and benefits regardless of launch success or failure because more launches mean more orders; SpaceX's increasing launch cadence and index inclusion-driven rally support HVM, and the stock has corrected to an attractive 28x forward earnings with strong earnings growth (177bn won this year, 284bn in 2027).

HVM's earnings are improving and could reach about 17 billion won this year, but the stock has run too fast and is already pricing in two years of growth, trading at 65x earnings. Near-term upside is limited to the 120,000-130,000 won range, and 140,000 is unlikely in the short term. The speaker advises selling on strength above 120,000 if the original investment was based on SpaceX expectations.

SpaceX IPO timeline has been advanced (roadshow June 4, Nasdaq listing June 12), directly benefiting Korean value-chain companies like Spear and HVM due to expected additional orders. A technical breakout above resistance around 49,200 won could open further upside toward 55,000 won.
