Sell silver-heavy CEF, buy pure gold OUNZ
Baruch is selling CEF because silver now makes up 45% of the Sprott Physical Gold and Silver Trust, up from 20% three or four years ago and 30% at end-2024; the gold/silver ratio has fallen to support, implying gold can outperform silver; and CEF has outperformed gold. He wants to monetize that and swap into OUNZ for pure gold exposure, taking silver risk off in wealth portfolios.

Trim GDX and CEF after froth.
Bill Baruch trimmed the GDX gold miners ETF and the CEF gold/silver ETF after metals had a tremendous run. He is not negative on them, but sees froth building, notes daily silver headlines, CME and Shanghai silver margin hikes, and commodity fund rebalancing. While miner cash flow should remain strong, he wants to lock in/monetize last year's move, expects a one-to-three-week consolidation, and is raising cash to be on offense later in January.
