BYD is overtaking Tesla in the global EV market: it sold 2.256 million BEVs in 2025, up 27.9%, versus Tesla's 1.66 million, down 8.6%, widening the gap to 620,000 units. Including PHEVs, BYD sold 4.6 million vehicles and is becoming a global top-six/seven brand, beating Honda. In Europe, BYD sales grew 268.6% to about 180,000 units, and in Korea its Sealion 7 sells 500-800 per month with competitive pricing and interior quality. The speaker says BYD is no longer ignorable in the auto industry.
