Luke Gromen
Founder, Forest for the Trees
Luke Gromen is the founder of FFTT, LLC (Forest for the Trees), an independent macroeconomic research firm he started in 2014. He spent the previous two decades in equity research and research sales: a partner at Midwest Research from 1996 to 2006, where he founded the firm’s weekly thematic summary, and then a founding partner at Cleveland Research Company from 2006 to 2014, where he edited its weekly thematic report. He holds a BBA in finance and accounting from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, and earned the CFA charter in 2003. His research and his podcast and X commentary centre on the US dollar, Treasury debt, gold, oil and the global monetary system.
