He says the environment in Japan is very favorable right now. Money supply has increased over the past four to five years, the Tokyo Stock Exchange is pushing companies to be more shareholder-aware, and the Japanese government has identified 17 critical sectors and targeted close to 2.5 trillion of public and private investment over the next 14 years. He also points to serious cross-shareholding reduction efforts, large household and corporate cash balances, and rising domestic yields that could support domestic deployment and inbound investment, creating momentum for the Japanese economy and Japanese assets.
