Goldman Sachs High-Beta Momentum Index down -24% month-to-date through first half of July, the worst performance since Apr 2009.
Morgan Stanley Tech Momentum Index 17-day rate of change down -35%, worst ever recorded thru 27-year history.
Crazy how all of this has occurred without a single main reason. For such a large collapse to occur you would think there would be a main culprit but there isn't one. Many high beta momentum stocks are down as much as 30-70% in the past month. Even some large caps are down 30-55%. Like Oracle.
