The post reports Iran’s claim that it has closed the Strait of Hormuz for shipping, citing ceasefire violations by Israel, and notes that delayed peace talks are set to resume in Switzerland.
The author’s thesis is that the market’s two recent +100bp rallies on “peace deal” rumors are dangerously overreliant on Trump’s social media posts, and that this volatility will amplify the eventual drawdown when the Fed raises rates later this year.
Quality assessment: Noise – the post is an emotional opinion piece reacting to headline risk, lacking quantitative analysis, specific positions, or a clear trading framework.

“Iran said it has closed the Strait of Hormuz for shipping transit due to what it called Israel's violation of a ceasefire, even as Pakistan said US-Iran talks were set to open in Switzerland on Sunday.
Negotiations on a peace deal were meant to start on Friday, but were delayed after fighting between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah militants in Lebanon intensified. Iranian state TV reported Saturday that a delegation was now en route to the talks, which Pakistan's foreign ministry said will open on Sunday.”
Market rallied not once, but *TWICE*, with over +100 basis point days over the last week on news that a peace deal was finalized. Can we plz stop giving Trump “Truths” total control over the direction of the market ???? I beg of you. This will only amplify the inevitable drawdown more severe when the Fed hikes later this year.
