[+23] u/begmanii: 100% agree with this. Experimenting is a great way to learn. Start small and pay attention.
[+20] u/the_humeister: 0DTE SPY calls. Trust me bro
[+7] u/Andrew_M81: I totally agree. A CSP on something like sofi or similar low dollar stock is the best for new players. I'll add to that, I like dividend stocks so that if assigned, it's not totally dead money, especially if it goes against you enough that the covered calls premium is not worth it. I also like to use tools like Fastgraphs to get a sense of the fair value. Even after a large decline they can still be overvalued. Don't play overvalued stocks. Naked calls are like playing with fire. INTC and ORCL, burned my butt this year. If you want to collect premium on the upside do a call spread or covered calls if you have the shares. In my case with INTC it goes from trading in the 20s to trading in the 100s.
[+5] u/steffanovici: Yep good advice. I saw a guy on x posting “if I had 75k, here’s what I’d do.” Then Described in detail: making it sound risk free, buying way otm leaps on amzn and selling pmcc.
Ffs people will get wrecked listening to these gurus eventually
