Summary
The dominant theme is geopolitical tension, specifically the threat of a US attack on Iran and potential retaliation, which is driving market fear and uncertainty.
Sentiment is overwhelmingly negative, citing poor economic data (jobs, inflation, oil) and erratic political leadership as key drivers for a recent market downturn.
There is a consensus that geopolitical events, driven by a figure referred to as "Commander Underpants," are the primary influence on market direction, overriding traditional economic indicators.

[+7] u/SvV_Ying: So all the panic and fear brought the market down a full percent this week.
[+5] u/AntoniaFauci: Unfortunately Commander Underpants’ daily senile actions dictate world markets and have to influence how we trade equities.
After self-inflicted terrible jobs numbers, terrible inflation numbers, and terrible oil numbers, there was a thought he’d taco over the weekend.
However this morning on Toilet Social he’s claiming today is the day for the big attack on Iran, whatever that means. Iran, meanwhile, is issuing the reminder that they reserve the right to retaliate on American assets, which is probably code language for stuff here at home or elsewhere. There’s always the chance he launches some kind of war crime spree today and then does a trademark Sunday night taco to try and manipulate oil back down. Given the chaotic and incompetent state of our HSI we have to factor in market reaction should Iran strike some kind of blow.
