Argues PayPal could be the secure intermediary for AI agent commerce and take a cut of every AI transaction, providing tremendous upside.
PYPL — LONG The author argues that AI agents having direct access to bank accounts or credit cards would be a security nightmare, so PayPal is partnering to act as a middleman that does not expose card info and ensures transactions make sense. They are developing an agentic commerce protocol that would allow PayPal to take a cut of every AI transaction. If this plays out, the upside is tremendous.
Paypal would be that middle man that would not expose your card info to the AI and make sure the transactions make sense. They are working together to develop that agentic commerce protocol so that there aren't any issues on that end. IMO the upside is tremendous if that plays out the way it looks. That would mean Paypal taking a cut out of every AI transaction.
