How many long-term value / trend followers utilze trailing stops?
Would be interesting to understand the exit mechanism of most value investors. I was writing a post on it, and I think it's a technique many underuse. I've held onto value stocks too long and given up paper profits I shouldn't have. Stubborn to exit with profit only to end up losing money. I think we have all done this before.
I'm interested to know how people determine their exit (if at all). I have never believed in take-profit levels and think it's more logical to take what the market gives you and have a safety net in the form of a wide trailing ATR stop.
