Robinhood says it reported the matter to authorities and cooperated with the investigation, which is obviously a positive from the company’s perspective. So IMO the real question isn’t whether two engineers made $50k. It’s whether this was an isolated case involving two employees or whether regulators start digging further into Robinhood’s controls around confidential information.
