"Finalizing the statement of work and programmatic milestones moves us directly into execution," said Stephen Matier, President and CEO of Maritime Launch Services. "With the next phase of construction underway on site, our teams are focused on advancing the infrastructure and operational readiness required to bring Spectrum launches to Nova Scotia."
The completion of this work satisfies a key condition of the agreement and advances plans for the development of Isar Aerospace's dedicated launch complex for its Spectrum launch vehicle at Spaceport Nova Scotia. The milestone follows Isar Aerospace's successful launch of its second Spectrum qualification flight, Mission 'Onward and Upward', and builds on the progress of both companies as they work toward first orbital launches from Nova Scotia targeted for 2028.(EQNX::nobreakspace)The finalized statement of work and programmatic milestones do not change the key terms of the facilities usage agreement announced on July 7, 2026.
"Access to space is critical infrastructure for any sovereign nation. With the successful launch of Mission 'Onward and Upward', we demonstrated our ability to deliver payloads to orbit. Together with Maritime Launch Services, we are now bringing that capability to Canada. Finalizing this work gives our teams the framework to move directly into execution of launch operations," said Alexandre Dalloneau, Vice President Mission and Launch Operations at Isar Aerospace.
With Mission 'Onward and Upward' successfully delivering all payloads to orbit, Isar Aerospace is now focused on scaling its launch services. By expanding production capabilities, launch infrastructure, and operational presence across multiple regions, the company is preparing to serve a growing global customer base with greater launch frequency and flexibility.
