HGRAF: Is graphene commercialization the real investment question?
I’ve been looking at the graphene and the part I find more interesting than the usual “graphene is the next big thing” argument is the commercialization challenge.
The article points out that graphene has historically faced several hurdles: producing high quality material consistently, scaling production, and then getting the material properly formulated and dispersed for specific applications. Even if the underlying material performs well, customers still need to see enough improvement to justify the additional cost.
For a small cap company like, I think the more useful question is what actually converts the technology into a sustainable business: production scale, customer adoption, or proving that graphene provides enough performance improvement to justify its cost?
Interested in hearing how others would weigh those factors in a penny stock DD.
