Is MP$ Worth getting into?

Is MP$ Worth getting into? Hey everyone, I was watching MP today and noticed it dropped down to around $50.48. I’ve been keeping an eye on the stock for a while because I heard about the U.S. government getting involved with the company, which is what originally got me interested in MP. I was hoping to get in around the $50 mark, so seeing it get this low definitely caught my attention. I’m wondering if this is actually a decent entry point, or if I’m making the classic beginner mistake of thinking “the price dropped, so it must be a good time to buy.” I’m pretty new to investing, so I’d appreciate any opinions on what people think about MP at these levels. What would you personally be looking at before deciding whether to buy? Also, if I’m misunderstanding something obvious here, please feel free to tell me lol. Any general advice for someone who’s just getting started with investing would be appreciated too.
