Interview advisor question
My father is dying and my sibling and I will start POA of his $8 million investment account. My dad is very smart with investing and has done it himself his whole life. Now that he is sick, he can't get in there and adjust his account when the market goes up or down.
So we're in the process of finding someone to manage this account. My dad is very sensitive with fees and that is why he did everything himself. my sibling and I are both in our early 50s. What are some questions you think I should ask these advisors when I interview them? I'm also sensitive to fees and I don't want to start paying 1% every year to have somebody manage it. Any thoughts? Thank you for any advice.
Just fyi I do want someone to manage my account when I inherit and would love someone who knows taxes well.
