Portfolio review please. I have achieved absolutely nothing in 3 years with remarkable consistency.
Posting this because my ego needs a controlled demolition and Reddit does it for free.
3 years of investing. Total in: \~₹1.6L. Total value now: \~₹1.6L. Net result: minus ₹480. Three years of discipline to end up slightly poorer than a fixed deposit holder who did nothing.
My original plan with the individual stocks was "buy each one, book profit, exit." Three years later I am realising that was less of a strategy and more of a wish I typed into a broker app. The SIPs are boring and roughly flat. The stock picking is boring AND down.
So honestly:
Is a 3.4% XIRR over 3 years just what this market handed everyone, or did I specifically fumble this?
Do I cut the individual stock experiment, take the loss, and shovel everything into the SIPs?
IRFC at -43%. Average down, hold and cope, or accept that I paid ₹4,256 for a lesson?
Why do I own three REITs. Genuinely asking. Was I okay.
Be brutal. Honest opinions only. I can take it.
(I cannot. Say it anyway🥲)
