Made ₹5,000 in 2 days… then lost ₹4,500 in one trade
Ma good reminder that making money isn't enough — protecting the profits matters just as much.
One bad trade shouldn't be able to wipe out several good trades.
Curious to know how others handle this: what's your maximum loss per trade/day relative to your capital?ade around ₹5,000 profit over the last two days, felt pretty good about my trading, and then today I gave back ₹4,500 in a single trade.
So basically:
2 days: +₹5,000
1 trade: -₹4,500
Net: +₹500 😅
The trade itself wasn't necessarily the biggest problem. Looking back, I think my risk management and position sizing were.
