AI Summary
Summary
Post summarizes Salesforce (CRM) Q2 earnings, noting a ~20% stock pop and a headline revenue beat.
Author highlights that the huge GAAP EPS beat was largely due to a $2.6B unrealized gain on CRM’s Anthropic stake, not core operations.
Positive emphasis on the new “Claudeforce” Anthropic partnership and strong Agentforce ARR growth of 240% YoY.
Quality assessment: This is a useful earnings recap with bullish framing, but it is not deep fundamental DD or valuation analysis.

Haven't seen an earnings post so thought i would make one.
Salesforce up nearly 20% since Q2 release yesterday
The Highlights
Revenue: $11.35B (+11% YoY), slightly beating the $11.32B consensus estimate.
GAAP EPS: Reported $4.29 GAAP EPS vs. $1.80 consensus estimate.
The huge GAAP EPS beat was primarily driven by a $2.6B unrealised paper gain on CRM’s equity stake in Anthropic. If you strip that out it was about on par with estimates.
"Claudeforce" Strategic Partnership: Announced a deep integration bringing Claude's reasoning engine to Agentforce and Slack, while embedding Salesforce enterprise data tools directly inside the Claude interface.
Combined Agentforce + Data 360 ARR approached $3.9B, with standalone Agentforce ARR growing 240% YoY to $1.5B
Growth in all major metrics such as seats, AOV, cRPO, ARR etc
CRM beat revenue estimates and posted massive GAAP EPS, though the core beat was modest after stripping out the Anthropic paper gain. Accelerating Agentforce ARR and deep Anthropic integration create a credible AI-driven growth narrative for CRM. Author highlights positive momentum but does not explicitly recommend a buy; CRM is worth monitoring for a potential long entry. Reported earnings are inflated by an unrealized gain; valuation may already reflect AI optimism; enterprise AI competition is intense.
