Started a Robinhood account in June. Bought 1.5 shares of SpaceX at the complete top, nice start… Then decided to try options after seeing the regarded potential returns that are possible. Lost all but $24 that I had left of buying power. (The $261 in the first screenshot is including the SpaceX shares)..
Wednesday morning, said “eh, if I lose what’s left, I’m done with trying options” and saw that IBIT calls for $38.5 strike with 8/21 expiration were $0.05 a contract. So I bought 4… an hour later, checked my phone and was shocked at what had started and continued through the rest of the week. $21 to $1,540 lol
