I have been reading the Buffett shareholder letters for a few months now, and they are both exhaustive and entertaining. Beyond the general wisdom, they clearly lay out the "elements of his investing style" (as Greenwald notes in *Value Investing, 2nd Ed.*). I’d love to hear your favorite observations, along with the year you captured or came across them while reading. Here are a few of mine:
* **Benchmark returns vs. S&P 500** (2009)
* **Intrinsic value** (1992)
* **Valuation & Mr. Aesop** (2000)
* **The Great, Good, and Gruesome Businesses** (2007)
What key lessons or specific years stood out most to you?
