Since last few days after sell-off on 3rd August, I observed it's just a low volume play happening in semiconductor stocks.
Institutions aren't coming forward to accumulate the stocks. This temporary price rise has happened on low volume due to lack of volume sellers not because of big buyers. Trading volume is declining on each passing day and it's not enough for breakout after large fall, most of the buyers seems are retail. It's kind of temporary stalemate situation.
If some big news come in upcoming days, institution sellers can return and flood the market with big volume sell. Is this apathy of institutions in buying these stocks, tells something which we don't know? Or just valuations aren't attractive enough?
