Murata Manufacturing is a Japanese electronics-components maker and the world’s leading supplier of multilayer ceramic capacitors, or MLCCs, which regulate power in devices ranging from smartphones to AI servers.
President Norio Nakajima said hyperscaler investment plans could face revisions or delays as competition intensifies and debt levels rise, even as current demand remains strong.
Note: Murata’s data center business grew 81%, while its MLCC book-to-bill ratio reached a record 1.47. The company raised its full-year profit outlook to ¥430B from ¥380B and is expanding production for AI-server components.
