Honestly this is little worrying for AI stocks. Company results are very strong, AI chip demand is still there, but investors still selling TSMC, Nvidia, Micron and other chip stocks.
Maybe the problem is not business. Maybe expectations are just too high now.
For last few years, good earnings was enough to push AI stocks higher. Now even very good results are not enough because market already priced too much future growth.
I don’t think AI boom is over, but maybe easy money part is over. Investors will now check valuation, spending and future guidance more carefully.
If chip stocks recover fast, then probably just short-term selling. But if weakness continue, it can be warning that AI trade is becoming overcrowded.
