TSMC Q2 Revenue Hits Record $40.2 Billion on AI-Driven Demand

The world’s largest contract chipmaker reported consolidated net revenue of NT$1.27 trillion for the April-June period, equivalent to approximately $40.2 billion at an average exchange rate of NT$31.60 per dollar, up 36% from a year earlier. First-half 2026 revenue reached NT$2.404 trillion, a 35.6% increase from the same period in 2025. June revenue alone climbed 6.2% from May, defying the typical seasonal decline. Advanced process technologies, particularly 3-nanometer and 5-nanometer nodes critical for artificial intelligence accelerators, drove the performance. TSMC maintained high fab utilization rates, pushing gross margin to 67.7% for the quarter versus its guided range of 65.5% to 67.5%.
