Give it a few days, maybe a few weeks or honestly even tonight, and I can already hear the speech coming.
Trump will stand there and say the United States has had “very, very good conversations” with Iran, incredible conversations, maybe the best conversations they have ever had.
Suddenly Iran will be described as a great future ally, a fantastic ally, and we will be told that a huge deal is coming soon, a beautiful deal, possibly the greatest deal in history.
And then the whole narrative will flip overnight. Yesterday they were the enemy, today they are negotiating like geniuses, and tomorrow it will all be sold as proof that only Trump could bring peace, strength, respect, and victory to America.
Markets will pump
The author asserts a forthcoming Trump speech will announce an Iran deal, reversing the current hostile stance. A perceived détente with Iran would reduce geopolitical risk, potentially boosting investor sentiment and driving a broad market rally. The trade is a speculative bet on a temporary sentiment shift, not on fundamental economic data. The speech may not happen; deal details could disappoint; market may already have priced in such a narrative; actual tensions could worsen.
