76/24 call/put split, $127M net bullish, dominant strike $1000. Not subtle.
The structure is what stands out. Calls swept aggressively across a $1000-$1100 strike ladder, $1000C at $58.2M, $1005C at $18.8M, $1050C at $18.7M, $1020C at $16.7M, all sweeps, all paying up on IV around 102-107%. Vol/OI on the $1005C hit 17.75x and the $1055C hit 8.93x. Those aren't rolls or hedges. That's new directional positioning opening at size.
Two clusters hit at 11:32 and again at 14:59. Two separate actors or one institution splitting size to obscure execution. Either way, the conviction is consistent across both windows.
The puts aren't alarming. $1000P split at $16.8M with 1.19x Vol/OI, low ratio, likely a defined risk hedge on the call position rather than a directional fade.
Thesis: institutions are pricing a breakout toward $1050-$1100 by June 12 expiry. The sweep aggression and strike laddering say they expect the move to be imminent.
Watching $1005 tomorrow. Holds above that with continued call sweep activity and the thesis is alive. Loses $980 on volume and the puts start looking more interesting.
