I've spent the better part of this weekend going through SPCE's incredible fundamentals, and I think there's a genuine case to be made here that isn't getting enough attention. It’s much more than a play on the Space X IPO
First, the company has successfully completed a full corporate restructuring, which if you've followed them for any length of time, you know was absolutely necessary and represents meaningful progress. The new leadership team has articulated a clear vision. I found their investor presentation very well-designed. It’s on the website.
Second, the addressable market for commercial spaceflight continues to expand. More people are interested in space than ever before. You can see this just by looking at how much people are talking about space lately, for various reasons.
Third - and this is the part I don't think people are pricing in - they still have the brand. Virgin Galactic is a known name. You say "Virgin Galactic" to someone on the street and they know what it is. That kind of awareness doesn't just disappear. That's an asset.
The stock has also been range-bound for several months now, which in my experience typically precedes a move in one direction or another.
I'm not saying back up the truck. I'm just saying I did, and I wanted to share my reasoning with people who might appreciate a more fundamentals-based perspective rather than just chasing whatever narrative happens to be in the news right now.
Do your own research. I just think this one deserves a second look. It’s all on the website
Such an incredible business, 1.5mil in revenue this year alone. If they continue to destroy earnings, they could even end up acquiring space X in a half cash, half calls deal.
