One thing the market often overlooks with junior mining companies is how important networks, infrastructure experience and financing relationships actually are.
NovaRed Mining just added Ed Kostenski to its advisory board, and this is not a random appointment. The guy has decades of experience across mining equipment, project finance, infrastructure and industrial development in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. He also built Nationwide Equipment into a global mining and infrastructure platform.
What stands out to me is the financing and international project side. Juniors don’t just need geology. They need people who understand how projects move from exploration into real-world development, logistics, equipment, partnerships and funding.
NovaRed is still early-stage and speculative, but adding someone with mining ecosystem and infrastructure experience feels bullish for long-term credibility. Especially now, when copper and critical minerals are increasingly tied to supply-chain security and industrial policy.
Wilmac already checks a lot of boxes investors screen for:
* BC jurisdiction
* Copper-gold exposure
* Quesnel porphyry belt
* Large land package
* 3DIP/AMT targets
* Copper-in-soil anomalies
* AI-assisted exploration strategy
Now they’re adding more international mining and financing depth around the company.
For a junior explorer, building the right advisory network can matter almost as much as the rocks themselves
