**What's the biggest reason? The demand from artificial intelligence. π**
**HBM memory used in AI systems requires more production capacity than traditional DRAM memory. As companies continue to shift supply to the AI ββfield, the supply in other areas such as smartphones, automobiles, networking, and DDR4/DDR5 may be severely squeezed. β οΈ**
**Even more alarming is that even with the construction of new factories, it will take years for truly new supply to arrive.**
