At first I thought the Jacob Amsterdam advisory-board appointment was just another corporate PR.

Then I started digging into Amsterdam &amp; Partners LLP and honestly the move makes much more sense in the context of where the copper market is heading globally.

This is not a typical mining-law background.

Amsterdam &amp; Partners LLP has been involved in:

• critical-minerals investigations in the DRC

• international political advocacy

• sanctions-related matters

• governance disputes

• human-rights and ESG issues

• cross-border geopolitical cases

One of the firm’s higher-profile projects involved investigating conflict-mineral laundering and supply-chain issues connected to the Democratic Republic of Congo and global technology supply chains. 

That matters because copper is increasingly moving out of the normal “commodity” category and into:

• strategic infrastructure

• geopolitical dependency

• national security

• supply-chain resilience

territory.

And honestly that broader macro shift is happening fast.

Recent reports continue highlighting:

• record copper prices near $6.69/lb

• growing AI data-center demand

• transformer shortages

• long-term copper supply deficits

• China’s dominance in refining and processing

• permitting bottlenecks in North America

So adding someone tied to international governance, ESG strategy and geopolitical advisory work honestly feels very intentional for OTCQB: NREDF.

Still speculative obviously.
