The major U.S. stock indexes rallied strongly today, **April 17, 2026**, with broad participation across large caps and small caps as the **S&P 500** and **Nasdaq** closed at **fresh all-time highs** for the sixth straight day of gains. Money continued rotating into tech and smaller stocks while geopolitical tensions in the Middle East remained stable.
