Just looked at today’s market heatmap and… yeah, it’s pretty ugly.

Just opened my heatmap and damn… this isn’t just a “red day”, it’s a mood.
NVDA down
MSFT down
AMZN down
AAPL getting absolutely smoked (-4%+)
Meanwhile energy like CVX casually green like nothing’s happening.
Feels weird… AI hype carried the market for so long, and now the same names are dragging everything down at once.
Not gonna lie, this doesn’t feel like a normal dip anymore.
It’s more like everyone suddenly remembered risk exists.
I’m torn here:
Part of me thinks this is just another buy-the-dip moment (again…)
The other part is like… what if this is where momentum actually cracks?
Also interesting rotation:
money seems to be sneaking into defensives + energy while tech cools off.
AAPL is down over 4% in a single session, leading the broader tech selloff. The severity of the drop suggests that the AI-driven momentum that carried the market might be cracking. Watch AAPL closely to see if this is a structural momentum break or just another buy-the-dip opportunity. Retail and institutional buyers could step in to buy the dip, causing a sharp reversal upward.
CVX is trading green on a day when the broader market and mega-cap tech are experiencing heavy losses. This relative strength indicates a sector rotation where capital is seeking safety in energy and defensive names. Long CVX to capitalize on the momentum shift away from tech and into energy. A sudden "buy-the-dip" resurgence in tech could quickly reverse this defensive rotation.
