ZenaTech announced this morning that its ZenaDrone unit is developing a low cost single use autonomous interceptor drone for its counter UAS system. Target markets are US defense, the Middle East, and Ukraine.
The concept is straightforward. Stop hostile drones at a fraction of the cost of traditional air defense systems. That is the pitch and honestly in the current environment it is not a hard one to make. Drones are not a side story in modern warfare anymore. They are central to how conflicts are being fought and the economics of drone interception is a real problem that has not been solved cheaply yet.
This is not coming out of nowhere either. ZenaTech has been building out its drone platform across defense, government, surveying, and Drone as a Service applications for a while. This feels like a natural extension of that rather than a random pivot.
From a trading perspective $2 looks like a notable support level right now. Combining a clear technical area with meaningful sector news is the kind of setup worth paying attention to.
Not calling it a buy. Just one that stands out today, particularly if that $2 level keeps holding.
Anyone else following ZENA or have a read on the counter UAS space more broadly?
