Noticed a lot of sour people posting recently about value investing being dead, etc.
But almost all of the value investing ETFs are outperforming the SPY YTD (and more), e.g:
\* VTV - up 7.3%
\* FNDF - 12.6%
\* FNDE - 8.3%
\* SPY - 0.78%
I can't post an image but if you chart almost any value etf / SPY, you'll see the acceleration in strength starting in Q4, so it's been on the up even longer.
TLDR skill issue, maybe the problem is if you all aren't really in 'value' stocks if your portfolio isn't following the benchmark ETFs here.
