With Adobe now trading at a 15 P/E ratio, I would like to revisit this stock. AI is one thing but competition is more of an issue for me. For those who don't know, Affinity (Canva) is basically like certain Adobe products, but it's a one time purchase of $129.99 rather than like a $30/month subscription. Majority of the revenue ($17 billion) that comes from Adobe is the Creative cloud which includes Photoshop. Now imagine what happens when a company offers you the same service but for a one time fee that is cheap? Do I think this will kill Adobe? No, but it is one thing to think about when investing in this stock.
