Thoughts on Morningstar's "5 Rules for Investing"?

I'm reading this book right now. Clickbait title aside, it's been super helpful. There are chapters explaining the basics: how to read financial statements, how to value companies using DCF, etc. There are also individual chapters on industries, like banks, health care, software, etc. It explains which metrics from balance sheets, etc. you should care most about for each industry. I haven't come across any books as definitive as this one, and I generally like Morningstar coverage. My only concern is that this book was published in 2004, and that the stock market has changed quite significantly since then. Has anyone else read this? If so, what'd you think? And was there anything that struck you as obviously outdated?
