Been looking at the 2025 FDI stats today and the gap between France and the US in the data center sector is honestly wild. France just pulled in $69 billion while the US is sitting at $29 billion. That’s a $40 billion delta that most people are completely ignoring because of the "EU is a regulatory graveyard" meme.
I think the real story here is energy stability. AI infra is basically just an energy game now and France’s nuclear baseload is a massive unfair advantage compared to the grid struggles we’re seeing in the States. Macron's 2030 plan is clearly working, and with over €100B in private commitments, they’re basically building the physical floor for the next decade of compute.
Is this a legit macro pivot or am I overthinking the delta here? I’m curious if anyone is actually looking at EU utility or infra stocks because this capital flow seems too big to ignore.
