I’ve noticed something frustrating lately with how I research stocks.
The actual analysis part isn’t even the hardest anymore, it’s just keeping up with information.
There are earnings, filings, insider disclosures, capital raises, random 8-K updates, strategic shifts… and it feels like unless you sit and refresh sources all day, you’re always slightly late.
I’ll spend hours digging through filings just to realize I missed something important that already moved the stock.
And honestly, most tools either give too much noise or are way too surface level.
I’ve been trying to improve my workflow lately and focus more on real-time verified sources instead of opinions or social sentiment.
Curious how others deal with this:
How much time do you spend monitoring filings/news vs actual analysis?
And are there tools or workflows that actually reduce research time instead of adding more dashboards?
Feels like we should be way more efficient by now compared to how people researched stocks 10 years ago.
