# The Trust Infrastructure (or lack thereof)
Usually, when you buy a drug, you are paying for the **certainty** that it is actually the drug. You’re paying for the FDA, the clinical trials, and the fact that Eli Lilly doesn’t want to be sued into oblivion.
In the peptide black market, the trust infrastructure consists of:
1. A WhatsApp message.
2. A PDF of a “purity report” that may or may not have been made in Photoshop five minutes ago.
3. The anecdotal evidence of a guy on Reddit named `SwoleKing420` who says his shoulder feels “pretty good” after injecting it.
The sellers are remarkably candid about this. One seller noted that while they ship tons of the stuff to “obsessed” Westerners, they wouldn’t dream of using it themselves. This is the ultimate “skin in the game” inversion: the producer is the only one who knows the product is too risky to consume.
